To mark the launch of our new Flare range, we commissioned a photo shoot. We felt that a turning staircase would provide the perfect location for Flare and so it has proved.

I’m sure you’ll agree that FL08 Jelly Bean looks stunning. Early sales have been extremely encouraging and although Greys/Duck Egg have sold in higher numbers, we have taken sales on all ten colourways within the first two weeks.

At Adam Carpets we are increasing our commitment to British Wool by increasing the number of ranges that will made from Platinum Label yarn. The Platinum Label not only ensures 100% British Wool in the wool content, it also ensures no fault wool is included. By containing 100% British Wool, Adam Carpets reaffirms its position in supporting British Farmers.

Our Castlemead Twist plains was the first Adam range to carry the Platinum Label, we can now reveal that from 1st January 2018, the following ranges will also be made from Platinum Label British Wool:

Inspirations Dianthus Plain
Inspirations Décor Plain

This months special window is from Waltons Furnishings of Ilkley in West Yorkshire. They have combined some of our new Castlemead Twist ranges with some wallpapers and paints from Little Greene to really great effect.

Waltons also installed some of our new look wall units into their showroom which looked fantastic.

Maybe a coincidence, maybe not? It was an interesting Harrogate Show this year and to see two other companies doing mood boards was very flattering. We launched ours two years ago at Harrogate with four boards. We have since created four more, the latest ‘Greenhouse’ is pictured below:

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as Charles Caleb once quoted.

We also want to applaud Brintons at the show for their wonderful, very English scene made totally from their carpets.

Bravo Brintons!

Is it fair to say though, we may have got there 20 years earlier with our scene of The Needles made entirely from Fine Worcester Twist and Forest Hills which was displayed at Harrogate in 1997!

Don’t be fooled into thinking that Grey is the only story in town. Sure, Grey is the most popular carpet colour at the moment, but we are increasingly seeing more colour being sold in our Castlemead Twist and Fine Worcester collections.

Here is a selection of colours from today alone, that we are making at this very minute:

As news of our collaboration with Little Greene starts to spread, we have been receiving a lot more interest and requests for articles from the mainstream media. This can only be a good thing as it puts our brand out into public view and hopefully will see consumers asking for us in your stores.

First up was one of the nations biggest selling interiors magazines, Homes and Gardens, which did a feature on wool for the Harrogate show. They chose to focus on colour forecasts and our relationship with Little Greene.

Homes and Antiques did a piece promoting British Wool, which featured another of our room shots of Castlemead Twist.

Most recently was the Daily Mail who published a page on Wool on Friday 6th October which included this text on Adam Carpets.

With the new brochure due soon, Adam Carpets will continue to be a visible carpet brand to the public.
