Take The Tour part 5

Winding and Beaming

Once dried the hanks are then taken for winding. This puts the yarns onto cones (think bobbins for cotton). The cones are then used to put the yarns onto beams (think cotton reels, but much, much bigger!). Beaming is where the yarn is wound at consistent tensions and length ready to be tied into the tufting machine.

Once again Adam Carpets are one of only a few companies to use beaming. The advantage of this is being able to make smaller quantities. This means we are able to make and stock more colours than many other manufacturers.
