Working with local retailer and contractor, George Donald of Fraserburgh and Peterhead, we were able to design and produce the carpet to the clients specifications and budget.

Using our unique Avant overtuft range we manufactured a carpet using the same high quality raw materials as a comparative woven product. By using a design with a random match we were also able to match the carpets side by side.

Adam Carpets have expanded its portfolio of lifestyle magazine advertising by appearing in the acclaimed Essex Life.

Teaming up with a number of our local accounts, the advert appeared in the October and November issues.

“It’s important for us to work at a local level for our customers.” said Eamonn Prescott. “The thing they most ask for is more people in their shops. By advertising locally with links to them, we are encouraging high end shoppers to frequent their stores looking for our products.”

Adam Carpets have confirmed that they will be attending the Flooring Show in Harrogate next year. The event which is held in late September at the Conference Centre is the only flooring trade show open to all retailers. This year saw Adam Carpets return after an absence of fifteen years.

“We felt like it was the right time to go back this year and the reaction we had at the show meant that returning next year was highly likely. We have gone back and looked over the leads we turned up and the retailers we spoke to and decided that we would exhibit again in 2015″ said Eamonn Prescott, Sales Director.

Adam Carpets stand at this years show was one of the highlights of the Wool Trends Hub, which was created by the Campaign For Wool. The stand featured on influential Interior Design bloggers, Scarlet Opus, top ten highlights of the show.

Adam Carpets have completed the installation of two new boilers at their on-site dyehouse in Kidderminster.

This major long term investment has included extensions to the boiler house buidlings and the erection of two new chimneys.

“The old boiler, though fully capable, was coming to the end of its life span” said Managing Director, Chris Adam. “The opportunity to secure the long term future of dyeing our own plain colours by purchasing these new boilers was too good to turn down.”

“By using two smaller boilers, rather than one large one, with one leading and one lagging”, explained Chris, “Adam Carpets will cut its energy usage and increase our efficiency making the process greener at the same time.”

It may surprise some that Fine Worcester Twist, arguably the best wool twist on the market, is not just used in domestic installations. It actually achieves heavy commercial rating as well.

It was recently used in a commercial installation in Birmingham and as you can see from the images, it looks absolutely stunning. Both Fine Worcester Twist and Castlemead Twist are often used in boardrooms and high end offices across the country.

Adam Carpets have launched a new in store poster aimed at showing consumers that wool matters. Faced with an ever increasing selection of man-made fibres, this poster shows that not only do we use the finest wool based yarns, but that they make a big difference to the carpet.

Historically Brits have preferred the feel, quality and durability of wool carpets over man-made. More recently with the financial crisis hitting the pockets of many, consumers have gravitated downwards towards cheaper wool or man-made products. These new posters show the benefits of the finest wools along with some features on what makes an Adam Carpet better.

One question we get asked a lot here at Adam Carpets is why we don’t put some heather colours into Fine Worcester Twist. The simple answer is we don’t need to because we have a range already called Fine Upland Heathers which is basically the same as a Fine Worcester Heathers range would be.

This range is made from the same highest quality two-ply yarn and is tufted on the same machine as Fine Worcester, so you get that pinpoint, billiard table finish that it is famous for.

It is available in sixteen beautiful heathers and is available 4m and 5m wide. The only difference is in the weight of the pile, where it is just 4oz lighter.

If you are looking for a high quality heather carpet for your house, but want the same quality and style that Fine Worcester brings, then look no further than Fine Upland Heathers.
