Our loyal customers here at Adam Carpets continue to amaze us with their inventive window displays. This month we have A J Rogers of Bromley (below) and Wordsley Carpets of Wordsley (above) with their use of our Mood Boards in their windows.

We would like to thank Rogers and Wordsley for sending us these images. Good window displays can make a massive impact on your businesses and attract customers into your store.

This month we received an email from Louise (end user) regarding the mood boards:

“I just spotted it as I was looking at other carpets in Cardiff. It was a really nice way to see a quick selection of a colour scheme rather than flicking through a huge pile of samples!”

A few days later we received a message from the retailer that an order had been taken on the back of the customer using the boards.

Always great to get feedback, good or bad, from retailers and end users.Mood Board AJ Rogers

Adam Carpets have announced that they will be purchasing a brand new beaming machine as part of their continued investment at their factory in Kidderminster.

This represents a continued commitment to manufacturing all of our own products at the Greenhill Works plant.

Managing Director, Chris Adam, explained “Last year saw the company invest in the two new boilers for the dye house, which extended our capacity to dye our own plain colours well into the future. This years increase in sales means that to continue to meet the needs of our customers we will be purchasing a brand new Beaming machine to increase our production rate and meet our lead time targets.”

This new machine is being built by a bespoke manufacturer in America and will be in place in time for the Autumn peak period. Adam Carpets are one of a very select number of companies around the world that use Beams. The major advantage of them is stock control and the ability to react quickly to demand.BEAMING

Here at Adam Carpets we are working towards a cleaner environment. We are also members of the Enco Environmental Network.

Enco and its member are committed to the goals of reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, effective use of raw materials, minimising environmental impact and compliance with environmental legislation.

Over the last twelve months, we have installed new energy efficient boilers in our dye house which has reduced our fuel usage. We have also put in place new methods to take heat out of the dye house vats for use elsewhere in the factory. We have also ensured that as much of our waste as possible is recycled. All of our waste yarn, cardboard tubes, plastic cones are all sold on to recycling companies to be used in other projects.

Going forward we are looking at other opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint and continue to invest in greener production methods.ENCO

Adam Carpets have been voted ‘Best UK Flooring Manufacturer 2015′ by the readers of Interiors Monthly magazine.

Sales & Marketing Director, Eamonn Prescott had this to say “We would like to thank all of the retailers who took the time to vote for us, it is greatly appreciated. This award reflects all the hard work put in by all aspects of our business.

The message we have taken from retailers who voted for us is that from design through to dyeing, production, sales, despatch and transport, the whole company is working together sucessfully to deliver the highest standard of product and service to our retail customers. In return, our message to retailers is that we will continue to strive to do even better.”

This is the second year in a row that Adam Carpets have been recognised at the Interior Monthly awards after they won the ‘Outstanding Performance’ category last year.

“These awards mean a lot to us and show we are doing the right things” Eamonn continued, “we have also been voted in the top three carpet suppliers at the last two Flooring One awards. It is great that our retail customers give us this type of reward.”2015_AWARDS FLAT GOLD

‘Adam Carpets’ are undergoing an exciting evolution into one of the most fashionable brands in the business – and doing so with considerable character and flair’

No these are not our words, but those of ‘The Stocklists’ editorial team during their recent review of the ‘National Buying Group Flooring Show’ held at Solihull.

The magazine devoted a whole page to the review of our stand which included ‘Hugo & Ella’ and our Mood Board POS.

In the feature entitled ‘In the mood for imagination’, they write about how Adam Carpets is a brand with ‘an aspirational feel’ and ‘fashion led’

Commenting on this article and the articles above, Sales & Marketing Director, Eamonn Prescott: “It is great to get this amount of positive feedback from not just the carpet trade, but the interiors market in general. We believe in the quality and style of our products and want to display them in the most fashionable and inventive way we can to entice consumers into our retailer accounts.”

Our new Mood Board POS has caught the imagination of leading marketing company Bancmarketing. Using their column the trade press they praised the new Mood Board units as an ‘industry first’.

The column called ‘Marketing Insights’ is used to help retailer develop their marketing campaigns and give advice on what options are open to retailers looking to grow their businesses.

The column featured one of our four new themed boards, ‘Nordic’ (see above). This board represents a ‘simple clean style with fresh crisp colour’

The Mood Board POS has already proved extremely popular. The first batch of stands sold out on day one of the Buying Group National Floor Show and the second sold within a week of being shown by our Reps. More stands will be on order in time for the Autumn.

Our new marketing campaign ‘Hugo & Ella’ gained national media recognition this week, when the ‘Campaign for Wool’ used its column in ‘The Stocklists’ magazine to praise both Fine Worcester Twist and the ‘Hugo & Ella’ marketing element.

The column entitled ‘Focal Wool Point’ described Fine Worcester Twist as a ‘seriously good wool twist carpet’. It also commented that ‘it has gained a reputation for quality, style and colour’.

Their comments on ‘Hugo & Ella’ were also great to read:

“There is something very clever about calling a carpet collection after two people…by virtue of their names they have already stepped off the page and are two characters we can identify with.”

“We think that this is a very clever marketing approach..”

“Well done Adam Carpets! This is very impressive indeed!”

We thank the column for its kind comments.

‘The Stocklists’ is the most widely read magazine in the trade and has national coverage.

Adam Carpets are delighted to have been chosen by influential interior design bloggers, Scarlet Opus, to participate in an exciting new project for The Flooring Show at Harrogate this year.

Scarlet Opus will be creating a ‘Flooring Shop of the Future’ which is intended to give retailers an insight into how they could be redesigning their stores to match the shopping experience consumers are looking for from the interiors sector.

Adam Carpets were asked to be involved after our mood boards caught the interest of Scarlet Opus and the majority of the trade at last years show. They particularly liked the idea that we think different in terms of the way carpet could be displayed.

Adam are also the only carpet manufacturer to be involved. Also participating are British Ceramic Tile, Interflor and Interface.

The ‘Flooring Shop of the Future’ will be located in Hall C, along with the Wool Trends Hub and Adam Carpets own stand.
